load cell 11Instru-Met repairs Instron load cells and offers a complimentary no charge evaluation to assess any damages it may have incurred.  In most cases Instru-Met can repair/replace your Instron load cell and get it back to you within 48 hours.  Most load cells show signs of damage when they sustain forces of 150% over their full scale capacity.  Instru-Met can rebuild your load cell with the same full scale capacity or higher.  As an option, upon request, Instru-Met can install overload protection providing you overload protection up to 500% full scale capacity of the load cell.  For example, a 100 lb load cell could be accidentally overloaded to 500 lbs and still function properly if the load cell in question had the Instru-Met overload protection installed.

Instru-Met and First Robotics

Instru-Met is again involved with First Robotics and “Aerial Assist” the 2014 challenge.  Ward Ruoff of the Instru-Met Corporation has been a mentor for the Roxbury High School – Roxbury New Jersey robotics program for the past 3 years.  This program has evolved from its first year with limited resources and space to having classroom space and a full time dedicated teacher (Mr. Lee Hayden) of the Roxbury High School computer department.  Instru-Met and First Robotics is a natural fit, we at Instru-Met deal with motors and drives and also National Instruments software and controls.  These “robots” are mechanical machines tasked with performing a certain function or functions.  The students are encouraged to present ideas on how to perform these tasks.  The mentoring process is to guide the students using our knowledge and experience to solve these problems while the students learn the use of hand tools, machine shop equipment, computer interfacing, and team building.

Instron Extensometer ASTM E-83 Calibration by Instru-Met Extensometer calibration to ASTM E-83 and ISO 9513 Instru-Met celebrates its 40th  year continuing its calibrations of Extensometers to the ASTM E-83 Standard and  ISO 9513.
